Relationship Inventory

The FOCCUS Inventory is a great way to begin preparing for your marriage. It can be completed on-line or on paper.

The inventory is comprised of 156 statements covering various aspects of your relationship. Each of you answers them as simply ‘Agree’, ‘Disagree’ or ‘Unsure’. The responses are computer-marked to provide a FOCCUS profile of your relationship. This helps to identify the topics you need and want to talk about as a couple. Then each of you can understand and communicate openly with each other about things that are important for your relationship.

FOCCUS is not a test nor is it a predictor of whether your marriage will succeed or fail. It’s just a tool to help highlight any important issues that you would benefit from discussing before you get married.

The FOCCUS profile is sent to your support couple, who will be a married couple who have been married for at least five years. They will invite you to a meal at their home. With their help, you will have the opportunity to talk through any issues that have been raised by the course or through the questionnaire.
